Kawasaki take the UK Premier British Motocross Championship
On 16 September, at the Pontrilas track near Hereford, KX450F-SR mounted Billy MacKenzie fulfilled both his and Kawasaki’s long term ambition to win the MX1 British Motocross Championship.
Kawasaki has not won the prestigious open class since 1996 with another Japanese manufacturer holding the title for the last seven years! Billy had a lead of the championship going into the last round and with a display of fast but careful riding he controlled the races to take second overall for the day and to take the 2007 championship. World Championship team mate Tanel Leok also took part in the last British round and was in devastating form, he grasped both race wins and the overall event win. With an awesome display of riding from both the Kawasaki Racing Team riders it could not have worked out better for them and Kawasaki. For the full story, click here
